Curaleaf: Pain Unmasked

Pain Unmasked is an honest and powerful creative response to the silent struggles of chronic pain sufferers across the UK.

82% of patients with chronic pain feel the need to hide their condition due to stigma, misunderstanding and lack of access to effective treatment.

So we asked: What if we could visualise that pain?

Through a collaboration with artist Hayley Wall, and three remarkable individuals, creator Mesha Moinirad and Curaleaf patients Fran Taylor and Ryan Swanepoel, we helped transform stories of hidden suffering into physical masks that expose what so often goes unseen.
